After two big completions from Cooper Rush in the two-minute drill, Brett Maher hit a walk-off 50-yard field goal to give the Cowboys the first win of the season, 20-17, on the game’s final play.
BENGALS TIE IT LATE IN THE FOURTH
After being beaten up by the Dallas pass rush all game, Joe Burrow bounced back with a touchdown pass to Tee Higgins with 3:45 remaining in the game. The Bengals successfuly converted the two-point conversion as Burrow found a wide open Tyler Boyd to make it 17-17.
DALLAS MAINTAINS LEAD AFTER THREE
The Dallas Cowboys are clinging onto a 17-9 lead entering the fourth quarter after a fumble in Cincinnati territory. The Bengals will start the fourth with the ball at their 31, facing a 3rd-and-5.
CRUCIAL TURNOVER SETS DALLAS BACK
The Dallas Cowboys were putting together their best drive since early in the game, but it ended in disaster. Late in the third quarter as Dallas approached the red zone, Cooper Rush completed a strike to Dalton Schultz, but he fumbled and the Bengals recovered at their 26 with 1:05 remaining in the third quarter.
BENGALS CUT LEAD TO ONE POSSESSION
The Cincinnati Bengals added another field goal to inch closer to the Cowboys. Dallas’ sixth sack of the afternoon forced the 46-yard field goal by Evan McPherson with 4:05 remaining in the third quarter.
BENGALS OPEN SECOND HALF WITH A SCORE
Cincinnati was able to cut into the Cowboys’ lead with a 50-yard field goal from Evan McPherson with 9:43 remaining in the third quarter.
COWBOYS DOMINATE FIRST HALF
The Dallas Cowboys controlled the first half with a dominant pass rush and a few big plays to hold a 17-3 lead over the Bengals at halftime. Cincinnati allowed four sacks while Cowboys receiver Noah Brown sparked the offense with four catches for 79 yards and a touchdown.
COWBOYS EXTEND LEAD
The Dallas Cowboys went up two touchdowns as Brett Maher nailed a 54-yard field goal with 9 seconds left in the first half to move Dallas ahead 17-3.
BENGALS LOSE TIGHT END
Late in the second quarter Cincinnati tight end Drew Sample was ruled out for the rest of the game with a knee injury.
COWBOYS LEAD AFTER ONE
At the end of the first quarter the Dallas Cowboys lead the Bengals 14-3. Cincinnati will start the second at its 19, facing a 2nd-and-16.
TONY POLLARD EXTENDS COWBOYS LEAD
Tony Pollard went 48 yards in two plays to extend the Cowboys lead near the end of the first quarter. After running for 47 yards on a shovel pass, Pollard powered in from 1 yard to put Dallas ahead 14-3 with 19 seconds remaining.
BENGALS CUT INTO THE LEAD
The Bengals responded to the Cowboys’ scoring drive with one of their own. A Micah Parsons sack, his third of the year, helped stall out the Bengals’ drive. Evan McPherson hit a 43-yard field goal to make it 7-3 with 3:05 remaining in the first quarter.
COWBOYS STRIKE FIRST
After converting a 4th-and-2 from their own 44, the Cowboys got on the board first as Cooper Rush found Noah Brown for a 9-yard touchdown pass with 8:35 remaining in the first quarter.
