GAME SUMMARY: Dallas Cowboys beat Seattle Seahawks 27-26 in preseason finale
The Dallas Cowboys came from behind to beat the Seattle Seahawks 27-26 their final preseason finale on Friday night at AT&T Stadium. Here’s what you should know from the game:

Cowboys take lead late, 27-26
With many third- and fourth-string players on the team, the Cowboys marched 75 yards on six players to take the lead 27-26 with 4:07 left. Peyton Hendershot caught a 14-yard pass from Ben DiNucci to tie the game. Brent Maher then kicked the tie-breaking point.
And another Myers field goal
Jason Myers booted his fourth field goal of the game, a 28-yard boot with 6:16 left for a 26-20 Seattle lead.
Maher misses long field goal
WIth 8:18 remaining, Brent Maher missed a 61-yard field goal to tie the game. Wide left.
Myers boots another, Seahawks lead 23-20
The Seattle kicker adds another field goal, this one from 28 yards with 12:12 left. Seattle leads again.
Interception sets up Cowboys score
The Cowboys quickly got on the scoreboard again when Markquese Bell came up with the Cowboys’ third interception of the night to set up a score. Grier converted the pick into a -yard touchdown pass to Brandon Smith. Maher’s kick tied the game 20-20 with 2:07 left in the quarter.
Maher kicks another field goal
The Cowboys responded with a Brett Maher 35-yard field goal to pull within 20-13 with 4:59 left in the quarter.
Seattle scores first in second half, lead
DeeJay Dallas scored on a 1-yard run on the first Seattle series of the second half. Jason Myers’ extra point pushes Seattles lead to 20-10 with 9:19 left.
Cowboys pull within 13-10 at halftime
Will Grier connected with Simi Fehoko on a 1-yard touchdown pass with 1:14 left in the half. Maher’s extra point pulled Cowboys win three points.
Seattle extends lead to 13-3
Jason Myers adds a 29-yard field goal and Seattle leads 13-3 with 5:23 left in the first half.
Cowboys get on scoreboard, trail 10-3
Dallas pulled within 10-3 on a 28-yard field goal by Brent Maher with 10:04 left in the second quarter.
First quarter ends. Seahawks lead 10-0
Dallas will have ball to start the second quarter. First down at their 42.
Lock to Hart for touchdown
Lock connected with Penny Hart for a 35-yard touchdown pass. Myers’ extra point gives Seattle a 10-0 lead with 3:46 left in the quarter.
Drew Lock replaces Smith
The Seahawks change quarterbacks on their second possession. Drew Lock, acquired from Denver during the offseason, replaces Smith. The drive ends when the Cowboys’ Israel Mukuamu (his seocnd of the preseason). The ensuing Cowboys’ series goes in reverse when Grier is sacked on fourth down.
Will Grier in at QB on second series
Cooper Rush’s day is done after one series. Will Grier replaces him in second series. It goes nowhere. Three plays, minus-5 yards because of a holding penalty.
Kelvin Joseph leaves game
The Cowboys cornerback was injured in the first Seattle series. He left the game with a head injury

Seattle first drive ends in FG
Geno Smith leads Seattle down the field for the first score of the game.
Jason Myers kicked a 53-yard field goal for a 3-0 lead with 8:30 remaining in the quarter.
Both teams were penalized during the drive. The biggest was a Seattle holding penalty that wiped out an 18-yard Seattle run to the 1-yard line. Two plays later, Sam Williams sacked Smith and the Seahawks were backed all the way to the Cowboys 43.
Smith’s day is done. 3 of 6 for 43 yards.

Cowboys drive stalls at Seahawks’ 43 on a Rush incomplete pass on fourth down. Cowboys gained 27 yards on 7 plays.
Rush starts
Cooper Rush starts for the third straight preseason game. He is 15 for 26 for 116 yards in first two games.
Prescott wins Block Courage Award
Quarterback Dak Prescott was honored with the Cowboys’ annual Ed Block Courage Award during an on-field ceremony prior to kickoff. Voted by teammates, the Ed Block Courage Award honors NFL players who exemplify commitments to the principals of sportsmanship and courage.
Star of the game
A kicker? Yep, a kicker. Seattle kicker Jason Myers booted four field goals (three from 28 yards, another from 29 yards) to provide a bulk of the Seattle scoring. Myers is one of the better kickers in the league.
Turning point
Peyton Hendershot’s touchdown reception proved to be the deciding factor. Certainly, Maher still needed to make the point. But it was DiNucci’s touchdown pass to Hendershot that allowed the comeback to happen.
