Jerry Jones says Dallas Cowboys ‘got a lot’ out of fiery practice with Denver Broncos
Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones came away pleased with Thursday’s practice against the Denver Broncos, despite six fights that erupted throughout the day.
“The skirmishes didn’t bother me,” Jones said “We got some great work in, really all over. We got a lot out of this.”
Jones said there are plays the Cowboys would like to have back but he really liked what he saw from his team. He was satisfied with the performance of the offensive line even though it got pushed around at times by the Broncos.
He especially lauded the play of Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott.
Prescott completed nine of his first 10 passes and 20 of his first 26 before finishing 24-of-33 with a touchdown and interception.
“I thought he practiced well,” Jones said of Prescott.
Jones came away impressed with Broncos quarterback Russell Wilson, who is in his first year with Denver after being acquired in an offseason trade with the Seattle Seahawks.
Wilson was sharp against the Cowboys defense.
“They had to change a lot for Wilson,” Jones said. “He can make those plays. He is a heck of a quarterback.”
