Will we see Dak Prescott? Or Ezekiel Elliott? CeeDee Lamb?

For the sake of everyone’s time, let’s hope so. The Dallas Cowboys play their second of three preseason games Saturday against the Los Angeles Chargers at SoFi Stadium.

The Cowboys lost their preseason opener 17-7 to the Broncos, but none of the above key starters played.

We know preseason wins aren’t important, but decent performance certainly is (especially for those players desperate to make the team). The Cowboys’ 17 penalties for 129 yards against the Broncos was an embarrassing reminder of the team’s 2021 problems.

That will be something to keep an eye on against the Chargers.

The Cowboys open the regular season at 7:20 p.m. Sept. 11 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at AT&T Stadium.
