Fans and media members paid tribute to former Dallas Cowboys running back Marion Barber on social media Wednesday night.

His playing career, which included a bruising style of running during seven NFL seasons, provided a bunch of highlight-reel type runs that were shared in the wake of his death at 38.

Barber was found dead in his Frisco apartment by police during a welfare check. The cause has not been released.

Fans celebrated some of his most famous runs during his six seasons with the Cowboys, including an improbable 2-yard gain in 2007 against the New England Patriots. The run, in which Barber sheds six tackles, is still captivating fans. Barber is stopped at the line of scrimmage at the Dallas 10-yard line and is chased by a slew of Patriots through the end zone and back out and actually gained a couple of yards.

ESPN NFL insider Field Yates was one of many to share video of the run on Twitter.

“Marion Barber was the definition of a tenacious runner,” Yates said in his message. “He always made something out of nothing. This was the most incredible 2-yard run ever.”

Others shared a clip from “Hard Knocks” in 2008 which followed the Cowboys’ training camp. Barber is shown playing classic piano in the video, a stark contrast to his punishing running style.
