The Tom Brady saga continues.

The five-time Super Bowl MVP, who previously announced he was retiring in January, shocked the NFL when he announced he’ll return for his 23rd season. He turns 45 on Aug. 3.

Brady posted news in social media message Sunday evening, suggesting he had “unfinished business” with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

“These past two months I’ve realized my place is still on the field and not in the stands,” Brady posted on Twitter. “That time will come. But it’s not now. I love my teammates, and I love my supportive family. They make it all possible. I’m coming back for my 23rd season in Tampa. Unfinished business LFG.”

LFG, of course, stands for “let’s freaking go,” or something similar but more profane.

The reaction on social media, as you’d expect, was mixed with a lot of shock, surprise and excitement. And plenty of memes depicting doom for the rest of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ NFC South Division. The Bucs lost to the Rams in the divisional playoff round in January. The Rams won the Super Bowl three weeks later.
