Dallas Cowboys are not delaying season-ticket payments due to coronavirus pandemic
Nearly a third of NFL teams are deferring or delaying season-ticket payments as the country deals with the impact of the coronavirus pandemic, however, the Dallas Cowboys are operating business as usual.
The due date for payment on season tickets is May 1, the same as last year.
Per an email sent to season ticket holders on Thursday, the Cowboys will consider other options for those who need it due to economic hardships of COVID-19.
“As the situation surrounding COVID-19 continues to evolve, we want to assure you that we are here to support you. Please contact us if you need to discuss your invoice,” the email stated.
The team said it has every expectation of playing a full schedule in 2020 but noted club policies regarding missed on canceled games for season tickets purchased directly from the Dallas Cowboys.
“If a game is canceled and cannot be rescheduled, or is played under conditions that prohibit fans from attending (for example, if a public authority restricts gatherings to no more than a small number of people), and you are a Season Ticket Holder, you will receive a pro-rata refund of your season ticket purchase price for any impacted games, or the option to credit that amount toward future playoff or regular season full season tickets for the 2021 season,” the Cowboys said in the email.
However, at least 10 teams have delayed or deferred season-ticket installments, including the Arizona Cardinals, Baltimore Ravens, Green Bay Packers, Los Angeles Rams, Miami Dolphins, New England Patriots, New York Giants, New York Jets, Philadelphia Eagles and Washington Redskins.
Some of the payment due dates have been delayed all the way until September, while others are keeping them open-ended for now.
