Final: Dallas Cowboys lose to Philadelphia Eagles, no longer control destiny

The Dallas Cowboys will have to beat the Washington Redskins and hope the Philadelphia Eagles lose to the Giants in New York to win the NFC East.

The Eagles beat the Cowboys 17-9 Sunday at Lincoln Financial Field to take a one-game lead on the Cowboys in the division at 8-7. The Cowboys are 7-8 and host Washington next week. Philadelphia plays the Giants at MetLife Stadium. Both games have been flexed to 3:25 p.m. from noon.

If the Eagles win their final two games, they’ll win the NFC East at 9-7. The Cowboys, even with a win against the Redskins, will finish at 8-8. If both teams finish 8-8, Dallas would win the division with the tiebreaker.
