Former Dallas Cowboys lineman Larry Allen among Texas Sports Hall of Fame nominees
Former Dallas Cowboys offensive lineman Larry Allen, Texas Rangers infielder Michael Young, Dallas Mavericks guard and current Milwaukee coach Jason Kidd along with rodeo sensation Trevor Brazile are on the final ballot of nominees to be voted on for the Texas Sports Hall of Fame Class of 2016.
Generally six nominees from the primary ballot and two from the veteran ballot will comprise the Class of 2016.
Members of the Texas Sports Hall of Fame (open to the public) will once again be able to help the selection committee determine the newest class. The deadline to become a member and be able to vote for the upcoming class is July 15th. The official announcement of the Class of 2016 will be made in September. The banquet to enshrine the Class of 2016, presented by Texas Farm Bureau Insurance, will take place in early 2016 in Waco.
