If Cowboys secure the NFC East, here’s who they’re most likely to face
The Dallas Cowboys (7-5) are a good bet to win the NFC East.
Beating the Philadelphia Eagles (6-6) at AT&T Stadium on Sunday would go a long way toward making that reality come true.
As of right now, the New Orleans Saints (10-2) and Los Angeles Rams (10-2) are good bets to lock up the No. 1 and No. 2 seed in the NFC, respectively.
So, which teams are the Cowboys most likely to host during the NFL’s Wild Card weekend?
The Chicago Bears (8-3) are most likely going to win the NFC North and secure the conference’s No. 3 seed.
So, that leaves the Panthers (6-6), Eagles (6-6), Redskins (6-6). Vikings (6-5-1) and the Seahawks (7-5) are the four teams competing for two wild-card spots.
Here is fivethirtyeight.com’s latest NFL playoff projection for each team:
Seattle: 88 percent
Minnesota: 60 percent
Philadelphia: 28 percent
Washington: 26 percent
Carolina: 18 percent
So, if those percentages hold true through the end of the regular season, the fourth-seeded Cowboys would host the Seattle Seahawks.
