‘[He’s] going to give me an aneurysm’: Cowboys fans, media blast Dak, Gregory in win
The Cowboys eked out one of their biggest wins of the season, knocking off the then-NFC-leading Saints in a Thursday night showdown.
But that doesn’t mean “America’s Team” didn’t experience its fair share of criticism from the Cowboys faithful or members of the media.
The Saints had only one loss entering the contest and now sit at 10-2. That mark is still one of the best in the NFL.
And at several moments during the game, many were not happy with defensive end Randy Gregory, who committed a perplexing roughing the punter penalty, or quarterback Dak Prescott, who fumbled in a fourth-quarter goal-line situation.
Those same fans were not happy with the refs.
Thankfully for Cowboys fans, all three were bailed out by Jourdan Lewis’ game-changing interception off Drew Brees after the fumble.
