Dallas Cowboys’ running back Ezekiel Elliott is expected to practice Monday after being limited on Sunday.

Cowboys’ coach Jason Garrett said Elliott came out of Thursday’s win against the Washington Redskins with some hip soreness. Elliott was limited during Sunday’s work out. The Cowboys (6-5) host the New Orleans Saints (10-1) at 7:15 p.m. Thursday at AT&T Stadium.

Garrett expects Elliott to practice on Monday. Elliott said he was given a day of rest after a massive workload the past three weeks.

“His hips were bothering him. That’s why we kept him out of practice yesterday,” Garrett said. “He looks better this morning.”

Elliott has gained 531 total yards from scrimmage over the past three games, a career-best three-game stretch. He had 121 yards rushing on Thursday. His 86 combined touches over the past three games are the second-most in a three-game stretch in his career.
