With the game on the line, Rico Gathers might have been held by a Detroit Lions’ defender on a crucial third down and goal situation late in the fourth quarter.

But fans of the Dallas Cowboys don’t care.

They think Gathers, fairly or not, should have caught the ball anyways. A touchdown reception on his part would’ve given the Cowboys a commanding 27-17 lead.

Instead, the Cowboys were forced to kick a field goal. The Lions then scored on the following possession to go up 24-23.

Many are also blaming the play-calls by offensive coordinator Scott Linehan, as well as the gameplan by head coach Jason Garrett.

The Cowboys went on to win the game, 26-24.
