The Dallas Cowboys’ coaching staff is complete. Finally.

The organization announced the new staff which features 10 changes on it.

The most prominent positions – head coach Jason Garrett, offensive coordinator Scott Linehan and defensive coordinator Rod Marinelli – remain unchanged. But there has been significant turnover among the staff.

The last addition is Markus Paul joining the organization as a strength and conditioning coach. It’s a new position created by the team, as Paul will reunite with Mike Woicik. Paul had been with the New York Giants since 2007, but worked with Woicik in New Orleans (1998-99) and the New England Patriots (2000-04).

Other changes to the staff included: Kellen Moore has replaced Wade Wilson as quarterbacks coach; Sanjay Lal has replaced Derek Dooley as wide receivers coach; Paul Alexander has replaced Frank Pollack as offensive line coach; Ben Bloom has replaced Matt Eberflus as linebackers coach; Kris Rishard has replaced Joe Baker as secondary coach; Keith O’Quinn has replaced Rich Bisaccia as special teams coordinator; Doug Colman has replaced O’Quinn as assistant special teams coach; Doug Nussmeier has replaced Steve Loney as tight ends coach; and Ken Amato has replaced Turner West as a defensive assistant.

Tight end Jason Witten addressed the coaching changes during the inaugural Jason Witten Collegiate Man of the Year Award ceremony on Thursday night.

“There’s always a lot of turnover in this league,” Witten said. “When you had the season we had, it’s important that you evaluate it and try to get better. I think this staff does such. A lot of great coaches – I enjoyed my time with Frank, Steve Loney, a lot of great coaches, Derek Dooley. I think it just gives us an opportunity to try to get better.

“You’ve got to make decisions to do so, so we’ve just got to do a lot of things better. We’ve got to perform at a higher level. We’ve got to practice at a higher level. We’ve got to prepare at a higher level if we want to compete with these teams that are playing in January and February.”
