Cowboys All-Pro LT Tyron Smith exits Raiders game with knee injury
Dallas Cowboys All-Pro left tackle Tyron Smith limped off the field with a right knee injury in the third quarter and didn’t return. He’ll undergo further evaluation on Monday.
Smith limped off after Dak Prescott and Cole Beasley failed to connect on a third-down play from the Cowboys 24. The Cowboys ran a successful fake punt on the next play with Chris Jones picking up the first down.
But Smith stayed on the sidelines as swing tackle Byron Bell entered at left tackle. Bell was called for a holding penalty late in the game.
Smith gave up a sack in the game as Raiders defensive end Khalil Mack got by him in the first half.
Smith missed two games earlier this season with a groin injury. He’s also managed a back injury in recent years.
