Cowboys RG Zack Martin sustains concussion in Thanksgiving game

The Dallas Cowboys can’t seem to avoid significant injuries of late.

The latest is right guard Zack Martin, who has been ruled out of today’s game with a concussion.

Martin started the game against the Los Angeles Chargers, but was replaced by veteran Joe Looney on the Cowboys’ final drive of the first half.

Martin has started every game in his four-year career. He made his 59th consecutive start against the Los Angeles Chargers on Thursday.

It’s a blow to an offensive line that is already dealing with injuries. Left tackle Tyron Smith returned to the lineup after missing the past two games with a groin injury, and right tackle La’el Collins has been limited in practice with a back injury.

The Cowboys’ offense continues to be in a funk. They were shutout in the first half by the Chargers’ 22nd-ranked defense.

The Cowboys have not scored a touchdown in 25 consecutive possessions.
