Eagles’ 28-point whipping worst loss for Cowboys at AT&T Stadium

The Dallas Cowboys have had bad losses at AT&T Stadium.

In 2015, they were blown out by the Carolina Panthers 33-14 on Thanksgiving. Earlier in the year, the New England Patriots whipped them 30-6. In 2014, the Philadelphia Eagles rolled to a 33-10 victory.

But nothing has been worse than the thrashing the Eagles handed them on Sunday night. The Cowboys didn’t score an offensive touchdown for the first time since 2015, and were smacked 37-9.

The 28-point loss is the worst the team has endured since 2009 when they opened their $1.2 billion stadium.

It came on the same night that owner Jerry Jones was given his Hall of Fame ring during a halftime ceremony.

“I certainly want to win, but not just because it falls on the same game,” Jones said. “On the other hand, I must tell you, both these last two games, with this one tonight did the same thing. You got really feeling good after the first half that to some degree you had played well enough to stay there and win the game, and then have the bottom fall out the second half. And you just get your expectations up, and then get sobered up.”
