Country music star Thomas Rhett headlines Cowboys’ Thanksgiving halftime show
Country music star Thomas Rhett will be the halftime performer for the Dallas Cowboys’ nationally-televised Thanksgiving Day game against the Los Angeles Chargers on Thursday.
Kickoff is 3:30 p.m. at AT&T Stadium.
Rhett joins an A-list role call of previous Thanksgiving halftime performers that include Selena Gomez, Enrique Iglesias, Kelly Clarkson, Destiny’s Child, Clint Black, Reba McEntire and many others.
Rhett is the Academy of Country Music’s male vocalist of the year. He recently released his third album, Life Changes.
He’ll be back at AT&T Stadium on May 18 as part of his Life Changes Tour 2018.
For the past 20 years, the Jones family has dedicated the Cowboys annual halftime performance to kick off The Salvation Army’s iconic Red Kettle Campaign.
Since the first Red Kettle Kickoff in 1997, the Cowboys have helped the Salvation Army raise more than $2 billion, reaching more than 500 people in need.
On Monday, the team served meals at Salvation Army locations in Dallas and Fort Worth.
