Dez Bryant relates to Conor McGregor and ‘caring dude’ Floyd Mayweather
Dallas Cowboys Dez Bryant refused to pick a winner in Saturday’s boxing match between undefeated champion Floyd Mayweather and UFC star Conor McGregor.
"Those are both my favorite guys," Bryant said. "I can’t. I’m just going to watch the fight. I can’t lose or win. It’s fun."
Bryant likes Mayweather and McGregor because of their success in the ring and octagon but also because how they how they treat people, which he says is misunderstood because of they flashy and boastful styles.
Bryant has first hand knowledge of Mayweather who says he has spent a lot of time with and called “a caring dude”.
"They are misunderstood," Bryant said. "People are mad because of how successful they are. Me being around Floyd, personally being around Floyd…he got to be one of the greatest guys I have ever seen in my life, as far as handling people. And I think that is what people don’t see. He is a caring dude. I’m first to say that because I witnessed it. He cares about what he does, just like McGregor. He cares about what he does. That’s why they are the way they are. You say something negative about them, they are going bite back. That’s my type."
