Cowboys DE David Irving on lost nipple ring: ‘I have no shame’
Dallas Cowboys defensive end David Irving admittedly has no shame.
Those were his exact words.
It’s the reason he posted on Twitter about losing his nipple ring in practice, causing him become the butt of jokes from fellow teammates and fans on social media.

Irving explained it all after practice Wednesday.
“It hurt so bad I just had to let the world know,” Irving said. “But it didn’t completely tear through. It must have been loose and yanked the side out. Thank God it was loose.”
So why do you have a nipple ring in the first place?
“Well damn if we are talking about it. That’s my spot,” Irving explained. “When you get it pierced it gets more sensitive. The girls love it. That’s why I go it.”
Cowboys receiver Dez Bryant offered a reward a couple of years ago when he lost a diamond earring on the practice field. Irving said his wasn’t nearly as expensive so there will be no reward. He will just buy another one.
So what were some of the reactions to the tweet?
“I guess I gross some people out,” Irving said. “A lot of people are sending me rainbows. It is nothing to do with that. Pretty funny to see people’s reactions. I have no shame.”
Irving, who has been suspended for the first four games of the season for using a banned supplement, had a strong practice on Wednesday. The biggest highlight was him lifting tackle Emmett Cleary off the ground in a pass rush drill.
