Tony Romo made a late-night TV appearance on Wednesday, appearing on the Jimmy Kimmel Live! Show from Austin.

The show is in Texas for South by Southwest, and lured the Cowboys star quarterback in for an interview. Former Texas Rangers star Josh Hamilton has also appeared on the show.

Romo showed off a personality rarely seen during his media interviews during the season, joking about how he feels like he’s an under-rated player and revisiting Dez Bryant’s controversial catch/non-catch that impacted the Cowboys’ loss to the Packers in the NFC divisional round.

“Look at that beautiful pass, and yes, it was a catch,” Romo said, smiling.

Romo also told a humorous story from the Pro Bowl when he tried to convince Jerry and Stephen Jones to sign running back DeMarco Murray, something that ultimately didn’t happen. Romo said it took him a couple days to call Murray, who signed with the division rival Philadelphia Eagles.

And, no, Kimmel didn’t pepper Romo with any questions of the Cowboys’ controversial signing of defensive end Greg Hardy.
