The Dallas Cowboys’ brand crosses all lines.
That includes the hip-hop culture.
In a rare move, the Cowboys and platinum recording artist/song writer Dorrough Music announced a merchandise collaboration Tuesday.
They will release a hat and shirt collection Thursday that will only be sold at Dallas Cowboys Pro Shops and online at shop.dallascowboys.com. The Cowboys are the first NFL team to venture into this collaboration, and it is only the third time a major sports team and music act have come together for merchandise purposes.
Dorrough Music, aka “Six 3,” is a Dallas born rapper and a lifelong Cowboys fan. He created a Dallas Cowboys anthem entitled “Our Time” and recorded the music video for the song at AT&T Stadium for the 2012 season.
His debut album “Dorrough Music” released in 2009 peaked at No. 36 on the Billboard top 200 and No. 2 amongst the top rap albums.
