Dez Bryant came to the defense of Giants receiver Odell Beckham Jr.
In back-to-back tweets Wednesday, the Cowboys receiver threw his support behind his NFC East counterpart.
Officials penalized Beckham for taunting in the Giants’ 24-10 loss to the Vikings on Monday night. Beckham has drawn six unnecessary roughness or taunting penalties in 31 career games.
Beckham told ESPN that he was frustrated with the increased attention from officials and complained that he is “not having fun anymore.”
Bryant was involved in his own controversy last week, missing two MRI appointments and meetings before finally getting the exam Wednesday. It confirmed what the X-ray showed – a hairline fracture in his knee – that forced him to miss Sunday’s game.
Bryant could miss two more games before returning, though the Cowboys list him as day-to-day. He did not practice Wednesday.
