NFC EAST WEEK 5 POWER POLL

1. Philadelphia Eagles (3-0): The Eagles had a bye last week, but they remain one of just three undefeated teams in the NFL, joining the Minnesota Vikings (4-0) and the Denver Broncos (4-0). Bigger tests await the Eagles down the road. But they should get to 4-0 with a game at the struggling Detroit Lions this Sunday. They are still biggest surprise in the NFL.

2. Dallas Cowboys (3-1): Even owner Jerry Jones acknowledges he didn't expect the Cowboys to open the season 3-1 without quarterback Tony Romo. To do so, despite injuries to several other key starters, shows that this could be the dawning of a new day for the Cowboys. Could this is also be the changing of the guard with rookie quarterback Dak Prescott?

3. Washington Redskins (2-2): A much-needed two-game winning streak has allowed the Redskins to escape the dreaded 0-2 hole they opened the season in last month. But this team still has questions and concerns at quarterback with Kirk Cousins and on defense, which is last in the league on third down. The hapless Cleveland Browns converted eight of 12 third down chances in a 31-20 loss.

4. New York Giants (2-2): The Giants are reeling with a two-game losing streak. And they are seemingly coming about at the seams. Receiver Odell Beckham is starting to catch flak from the front office and teammates for is immature play, which has cost the team with penalties in each of the past two games. Imagine that? A combustible receiver causing controversy. Hmmm.
