Cowboys cornerback Morris Claiborne: Claiborne had seven tackles, including one tackle for loss, one interception and one pass defensed. His fourth-quarter interception put Dallas in position to protect its lead. He dashed the 49ers’ hopes for good when he pushed out Torrey Smith short of the first-down marker on a fourth-and-6 play.

Cowboys offensive line: Missing Tyron Smith and La’el Collins, the line still dominated with Chaz Green, Ronald Leary, Zack Martin, Travis Frederick and Doug Free. The Cowboys rushed for 194 yards on 39 attempts and had 12 rushing first downs. In the fourth quarter, the Cowboys had a bruising 11-play drive, including seven runs, that lasted 6 minutes, 27 seconds and ended with a Dan Bailey field goal for a 24-17 lead.

Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott and quarterback Dak Prescott: Elliott had his second consecutive 100-yard performance with 138 yards and one touchdown on 23 carries. Prescott completed 23 of 32 passes for 245 yards and two touchdowns. The rookie has not been intercepted in 131 passes this season.

49ers receiver Jeremy Kerley: The former TCU star caught six passes for 88 yards, and his 33-yard touchdown catch was the first score of the game. He also returned a punt 26 yards.
