The Washington Redskins hope quarterback Kirk Cousins can duplicate the success he has last season.

NFC EAST Week 1 Power Poll

1. Washington Redskins: The Redskins were the best team last year. Kirk Cousins should be more comfortable and more entrenched on offense. They added All-Pro cornerback Josh Norman on defense.

2. New York Giants: The Giants are the biggest threat to the Redskins. They added several big-time free agents on defense and get Victor Cruz back to a receiver corps that already has Odell Beckham Jr.

3. Dallas Cowboys: The Cowboys’ hopes of contending took a huge blow when quarterback Tony Romo suffered a fractured bone in his back. They are asking a lot of rookie Dak Prescott.

4. Philadelphia Eagles: The Eagles gave up on the season when they traded quarterback Sam Bradford, making rookie Carson Wentz the starter. Head coach Doug Pederson is also calling plays for the first time in his career.
