Buffalo (4-4) at NY Jets (5-3)

7:25 p.m. Thursday, NFL Network

Line: Jets by 2 1/2

Both teams ended two-game losing streaks on Sunday. Bills coach Rex Ryan plays the Jets for the first time since being fired after coaching them for six years. The Bills passed only 12 times against Miami, completing 11 for 181 yards, mainly because they averaged 7.4 yards per rush. This is their first of five road tests in the next six games. Jets QB Ryan Fitzpatrick played with a torn ligament in the thumb of his non-throwing left hand. He’s expected to have surgery after this game because they have a bye next week. The defense has forced 18 turnovers in their five wins, but only one over their three losses. The Jets have yet to pass for 300 yards in a game and haven’t broken 90 yards rushing the past three. The most interesting matchup should be Bills WR Sammy Watkins, who had a season-high 168 yards last week, against Jets shut-down corner Darrell Revis.
