Bragan Foundation to honor TCU/NFL great LaDainian Tomlinson
Former TCU and NFL great LaDainian Tomlinson will be honored at the 2015 Lifetime Achievement Award Gala on Nov. 12 at the Omni Fort Worth Hotel.
The event begins at 6 p.m. with the dinner at 7:15 p.m.
Tomlinson, who was fourth in the Heisman Trophy voting his senior year at TCU, completed his college career with 5,263 rushing yards.
The fifth overall pick by San Diego in the 2001 NFL Draft, Tomlinson played nine seasons with the Chargers and two seasons with the New York Jets.
Tomlinson’s 13,684 rushing yards are the fifth-most in NFL history and his 145 career rushing touchdowns are second only to Emmitt Smith’s 164.
Tomlinson, an NFL Network analyst, has a history of involvement in the Fort Worth and San Diego communities. His Touching Lives Foundation and programs enhance the lives of deserving families through education, social and culture awareness, and positive self-esteem.
Legendary sportscaster Verne Lundquist was honored last year.
