How has Max Duggan fared in his first season in the United Football League?
After getting cut by the Los Angeles Chargers in 2024, Max Duggan signed with the St Louis Battlehawks of the United Football League and took over the starting quarterback position.
How have the former TCU standout quarterback and the Battlehawks performed this season?
Duggan started the season backing up Manny Wilkins, who led the team to a 2-1 record before tearing the Achilles tendon in his right foot in a week four game against the Arlington Renegades, which cost him the season.
Duggan took over the starting role after Wilkins went down and has led the team to a 2-1 record, with the lone loss being his first game against the Renegades.
He has thrown for 295 yards, two touchdowns, and two interceptions, and he has added 182 yards and two touchdowns on the ground. The Battlehawks are currently 4-2, second place in their division, and the only team in the XFL Conference on a winning streak.
Duggan has St. Louis on the path to the playoffs as they seek their second straight playoff appearance and first UFL title.
Duggan and the Battlehawks will be back in action against the Memphis Showboats at 2 p.m. on Sunday, and the game will air on ESPN.
