His uncle played in the NFL
Booker’s uncle, Ulish, also played for Nick Saban when the former Crimson Tide coach was at Michigan State before the elder Booker went on to play for the Atlanta Falcons and Pittsburgh Steelers, winning the 2006 Super Bowl with the team during his professional career.
Helped lead at Alabama
Booker played at Alabama for three seasons, earning two All-SEC and All-American selections while also being selected as a team captain alongside Jalen Milroe, Malachi Moore, and Deontae Lawson.
Who was his favorite team growing up?
Booker rooted for the Pittsburgh Steelers because his uncle played for the team while he was growing up.
Punching above his weight
When Booker was in the fifth grade, he played on a football team for seventh and eighth-grade kids and helped them go undefeated that season.
Booker went to IMG Academy
IMG Academy is known as one of the best high schools for producing NFL talent in the country. The school is located in Florida, and Booker, who is from New Haven, Conn., Booker’s dad credits IMG Academy with helping him level up his son’s skills.
