Dallas Cowboys draft
The 2023 NFL Draft has officially concluded and here are all the players selected by the Dallas Cowboys.
Round 1: No. 26 – Mazi Smith, DT, Michigan
Round 2: No. 58 – Luke Schoonmaker, TE, Michigan
Round 3: No. 90 – DeMarvion Overshown, LB, Texas
Round 4: No. 129 – Viliami Fehoko, DE, San Jose State
Round 5: No. 169 – Asim Richards, OT, North Carolina
Round 6: No. 178 – Eric Scott, Jr. DB, Southern Miss
Round 6: No. 212 – Deuce Vaughn, RB, Kansas State
Round 7: No. 244 – Jalen Brooks, WR, South Carolina
Mr. Irrelevant
The final selection of the 2023 NFL Draft is in the book and this year the Los Angeles Rams used pick No. 259 on Desjuan Johnson a defensive end from Toledo
Cowboys add another offensive weapon
The Cowboys used the No. 244 pick on Jalen Brooks a wide receiver out of South Carolina. Brooks had limited production over his collegiate career but has good physical traits for the position.
Max Duggan joins teammates in LA
The Los Angeles Chargers continued their run on TCU players selecting QB Max Duggan with the No. 239 pick. Duggan led the Horned Frogs to one of their greatest seasons in school history en route to winning the 2022 Davey O’Brien Award. Duggan joins Derius Davis and Quentin Johnston in Los Angeles.
Dee Winters heads to San Francisco
Dee Winters was drafted by the San Francisco 49ers with the No. 216 pick. Winters heads to one of the best defensive teams in the NFL with an extensive history of developing linebackers. Winters will join an elite linebacker room with Fred Warner and Dre Greenlaw.
Rams take former TCU running back
The Los Angeles Rams drafted another former TCU player when they selected Zach Evans with the No. 215 pick in the draft. Evans played at TCU before transferring to Ole Miss to end his collegiate career.
Cowboys draft running back
With the release of Ezekiel Elliott the Cowboys needed additional help at the running back position and selected a back in the sixth round. The Cowboys drafted Deuce Vaughn, whose father is a scout with the Dallas Cowboys, with the No. 212 pick in the draft.
TCU defender off the board
The Los Angeles Rams took their second TCU player of the draft when they selected Tre’Vius Hodges-Tomlinson with the No. 182 pick in the draft. Hodges-Tomlinson joins Steve Avila who was drafted earlier by the Rams, four of TCU’s players were selected by the two Los Angeles football teams.
Cowboys strengthen vaunted secondary
The Cowboys’ secondary is one of the best units in the NFL and the Cowboys increased its depth with the No. 178 pick. The Cowboys selected Eric Scott Jr., a cornerback out of Southern Mississippi. The Cowboys traded up to make the selection, giving up a 2024 fifth-round pick to the Kansas City Chiefs.
Cowboys add offensive line depth
The Dallas Cowboys took Asim Richards from North Carolina with the No. 169 pick in the draft. Richards is the second offensive player taken in this draft and provides greater depth for the Cowboys’ offensive line.
Cardinals look for Kyler Murray’s backup
The Arizona Cardinals took Houston QB Clayton Tune with the No. 139 during the fifth round. Tune will have a chance to back up Kyler Murray.
Tyler Lacy headed to Duval
The Jacksonville Jaguars selected DE Tyler Lacy from Oklahoma State with the No. 130 pick. The All-Big-12 defensive end heads to a young, up-and-coming Jaguars team.
Cowboys first day three pick
Cowboys continue their defensive-focused draft by selecting Viliami Fehoko Jr. a DE out of San Jose State. Fehoko has a good array of pass-rush moves with a relentless motor. Fehoko is the second defensive lineman taken in the draft by the Cowboys.
TCU reunion in Los Angeles
TCU WR Derius Davis was selected as the No. 125 pick in the NFL Draft by the Los Angeles Chargers. Davis is the second TCU WR drafted by the Chargers after they made Quentin Johnston their first-round pick.
First TCU defender selected
The Houston Texans selected defensive end, Dylan Horton, with the No. 109 pick in the NFL draft. Horton projects as a high-upside player for new head coach DeMeco Ryans.
Round four’s first pick
The New Orleans Saints had the first pick of the lady day of the NFL Draft and selected offensive lineman Nick Saldiveri with the No. 103 pick.
Day three kicks off
The third and final day of the NFL Draft has started and the Cowboys hold four picks currently. The Cowboys pick as follows: Round 4, pick 129, Round 5, pick 169, Round 6, pick 212, Round 7, pick 244.
Cowboys take Texas Longhorn defender
The Dallas Cowboys took DeMarvion Overshown with the No. 90 pick in the NFL Draft. Overshown is a former safety turned linebacker that fits the mold of a modern NFL linebacker with exceptional athleticism that should help the Cowboys’ defense.
Saints take TCU running back
The New Orleans Saints selected Kendre Miller with the No. 71 pick in the NFL Draft. Miller had the ninth-most rushing touchdowns in TCU history. Miller will join Alvin Kamara in the backfield for the Saints.
Broncos take two local talents
The Denver Broncos selected Drew Sanders and Marvin Mims Jr with the No. 67 and No. 63 picks. The Broncos are looking to rebound from possibly the most disappointing season in the NFL in 2022 and have added a weapon for Russell Wilson and a pass rusher who could help their already talented defense.
Cowboys get Dalton Schultz replacement
The Cowboys were connected to tight ends heavily throughout the draft process and got their guy with the No. 58 pick in the draft. The Cowboys drafted Luke Schoonmaker out of Michigan, their second Michigan player taken in the draft.
Chiefs trade with Lions
The Kansas City Chiefs received picks No. 55 and No. 194 and gave the Detroit Lions picks No. 63, No. 122 and No. 249. The Chiefs drafted SMU wide receiver and Fort Worth native Rashee Rice giving Patrick Mahomes another weapon in the passing game.
TCU center headed to LA
The second TCU player of the draft was taken when the Los Angeles Rams drafted Steve Avila with the No. 36 pick in the second round. Avila is a versatile lineman and was a key piece of the 2022 TCU team that went to the national championship game.
Will Levis slide stops
Will Levis was projected as high as the number two pick of the draft but fell out of the first round entirely. Levis was the No. 33 pick in the draft by the Tennessee Titans and seems to be the heir apparent to Ryan Tannehill.
First day two pick
The Pittsburgh Steelers selected Joey Porter Jr with the first pick of the second round. The Penn State cornerback is the son of former Pittsburgh Steeler great Joey Porter Sr.
Second round starts
The second round of the 2023 NFL Draft is underway. Kentucky QB Will Levis is the biggest name left on the board heading into day two of the NFL draft.
Dallas Cowboys select interior presence
The Cowboys selected defensive tackle Mazi Smith with the No. 26 pick. Smith is a plus athlete that has high-upside and can help the Cowboys’ defensive line continue to thrive.
Bills trade up for pass-catching option
The Buffalo Bills traded picks No. 27 and No. 130 for No. 25 with the Jacksonville Jaguars. The Bills drafted Utah tight end Dalton Kincaid at No. 25 who provides Josh Allen with another weapon in the passing game.
New York Giants trade up
The New York Giants traded picks No. 25 and No. 160 to move up to the No.24 pick. The Giants used the pick on Maryland cornerback Deonte Banks. Ar talented addition to a young Giants defense.
First TCU player selected
Wide receiver Quentin Johnston was selected with the No. 21 pick by the Los Angeles Rams. Johnston is the first player from the vaunted 2022 TCU team that made it to the national championship game to be selected in the 2023 NFL Draft.
Rockwall native selected
Jaxon Smith-Njigba was selected by the Seattle Seahawks with the No. 20 draft selection. Smith-Njigba forms a three-headed monster at wide receiver with Tyler Lockett and D.K. Metcalf.
First Dallas-Fort Worth area player selected
Oregon cornerback Christian Gonzalez who starred before college at the Colony High School was selected by the New England Patriots with the No. 17 pick in the draft.
Steelers trade with the Patriots
The Pittsburgh Steelers traded picks No. 17 and No. 120 to the New England Patriots for the No. 14th pick. The Steelers selected Georgia offensive tackle Broderick Jones in an effort to better protect QB Kenny Pickett.
Micah Parson almost walks off set after Eagles’ pick
The Cowboys linebacker jokingly almost walked off the set after complaining about how the Eagles snagged Jalen Carter with the No. 9 pick.
Bears look to protect Justin Fields
The Chicago Bears selected the second offensive lineman in the draft with Tennessee’s Darnell Wright. The Bears look to fix one of the league’s worst offensive lines.
Eagles trade up to the No. 9 pick
The Philadelphia Eagles traded the No. 10 pick and a 2024 fourth-round pick to the Chicago Bears in return for the No. 9 pick. The Eagles selected Georgia defensive tackle Jalen Carter who joins an Eagles defense that led the league in sacks during the 2022 season.
First running back off the board
The Atlanta Falcons selected Texas running back Bijan Robinson with the No. 8 pick. Robinson was the first running back selected in the draft.
Raiders go defense
The Oakland Raiders selected Texas Tech’s Tyree Willson with the eighth pick in the draft. The Raiders hope Wilson can find success with Maxx Crosby on the defensive line.
Cardinals make second trade of the night
The Arizona Cardinals made their second trade of the night sending picks No. 12 and 34 in this year’s draft to the Detroit Lions in exchange for the No. 6 pick. They drafted Paris Johnson Jr. whose father was previously selected by the Cardinals.
Seahawks take the first cornerback of the draft
Cornerback Devon Witherspoon was selected by the Seattle Seahawks with the No. 5 pick in the draft. Witherspoon joins Fort Worth Native Tariq Woolen forming a possibly potent young cornerback duo.
Three quarterbacks were selected in the first four picks
The Indianapolis Colts selected Florida QB Anthony Richardson with the fourth pick in the draft. The Colts and new head coach Shane Steichen bet on the quarterback thought to have one of the highest upsides.
Texans trade up to No. 3
The Texans made the first trade of the day by trading away picks No. 12 and No. 33 in this year’s draft and 2024 first and third-round picks to the Arizona Cardinals in return for picks No. 3 and No. 105 in this year’s draft. The Texans used the third pick to draft Alabama linebacker Will Anderson Jr.
Quarterbacks go back to back
The Houston Texans drafted C.J. Stroud with the second pick of the NFL draft. Stroud is the first quarterback the Texans have selected in the first round since Deshaun Watson.
Bryce Young is the No. 1 overall selection
The 2021 Heisman winner was selected first as expected by the Carolina Panthers and will join new head coach Frank Reich in attempting to turn the franchise around.

NFL Draft Commences
The draft began with a tribute to University of Virginia football players D’Sean Perry, Devin Chandler and Lavel Davis Jr who were killed in a shooting in November of 2022.
Micah Parsons on the Street
The Dallas Cowboys linebacker Micah Parsons asked fans on the street what type of players their favorite team needs from the draft.
Lamar Jackson Signed
The Ravens and Lamar Jackson have ended their contract dispute with a five-year $260 million contract making Jackson the highest-paid player in the NFL. The contract was announced on Thursday before the NFL Draft.

When
The 2023 NFL Draft takes place over three days from April 27-29, here are the start time and rounds associated with each day.
Round one is at 7 p.m. on Thursday
Rounds 2-3 are at 6 p.m. on Friday
Rounds 4-7 are at 11 a.m. on Saturday.
Where
This year the draft is taking place for the first time at Union Station in Kansas City, Missouri.

All rounds of the NFL Draft can be streamed on either ESPN, ABC or the NFL Network.
