NFL suspends players from Lions and Commanders for gambling policy violations
The NFL has suspended three players indefinitely and two for six games for violating the league’s gambling policy, according to a report from NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.
Detroit Lions wide receiver Quintez Cephus, Lions defensive back C.J. Moore and Washington Commanders defensive end Shaka Toney allegedly bet on NFL games, and were suspended indefinitely.
Cesphus and Moore have been released, according to a statement by the Lions.
Detriot Lions wide receivers Jameson Williams and Stanley Berryhill were suspended for six games each.
According to Rapoport, Williams and Berryhill were betting on college games inside NFL facilities, which was the reason for their lesser suspension.
