Jerry Jones has admitted the NFL’s new roughing the passer rules have changed the nature of the NFL.

The rule hasn’t cost the Cowboys a game.

At least, not yet.

But before the team hosts the Detroit Lions on Sunday, Dallas’ defensive players, as well as Jason Garrett and his coaching staff, would be wise to re-watch Aaron Donald highlights from the Rams win over the Minnesota Vikings in Los Angeles on Thursday night.

On Friday, Jones got irritated when he was asked about quarterback Jared Goff’s immaculate performance on Thursday night.

Although, Aaron Donald’s performance might have been more impressive.

The defensive tackle made play after play, including several that secured his team’s 38-31 win.

In total, he finished the evening with 5 total tackles and two critical sacks. And none of those sacks were penalized by the NFL’s new quarterback-friendly rules.
