Cam Newton apologizes to reporter, women, says ‘the joke is really on me’

Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton apologized Thursday night for his word choice when answering a question Wednesday from Panthers beat reporter Jourdan Rodrigue of The Charlotte Observer. He did not mention Rodrigue by name in the apology, The Observer reported.
