Some think Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban will one day be president. Yes, of the United States. Some Republicans reportedly would love for him to give it a go now against his Twitter nemesis and presumptive Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump.

The Washington Post thinks Cuban will run – likely as a Republican – as early as 2020 or 2024.

How would that work if he became likely Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton’s vice president in 2016? We’re probably not going to find out, but it is at least interesting to think about it. Apparently Cuban has given it some thought, if only to better lob Twitter grenades at Trump. Well, Cuban was asked if he would consider the post if Clinton calls by NBC Meet the Press host Chuck Todd in an interview that will air on Sunday’s show.

“Absolutely,” Cuban told Todd of VP consideration, adding: “The key would be that she’d have to go more to center. I like the fact that Senator Clinton has thought-out proposals. That’s a good thing because at least we get to see exactly where she stands.”

Cuban, who played the President of the United States on the cult movie “Sharknado 3: Oh Hell No!”

Clinton has made no hints about who her options might be for a running mate. There’s certainly no indication that she has Cuban on her mind.

He might not be available anyway until, say, mid-July, you know, when the NBA free agency frenzy quiets down.
