Mavericks will have both dance and overnight basketball summer camps

DALLAS – In addition to the numerous summer basketball camps they annually host in North Texas, the Dallas Mavericks will host a dance camp this summer for the first time.

Led by the Dallas Mavericks Dancers, the Mavs Dance program will place special emphasis on fitness, technique, fun and self-confidence and is available to children of all skill levels.

The program will be held three days a week from June 15-Aug. 3 in Plano, Grapevine, Dallas, Allen and Garland. All campers will receive a ticket to a preseason game next season, a camp T-shirt, a Mavs Dancer poster, and will also have a chance to dance at halftime during a preseason game next season.

As far as basketball is concerned, the Mavs will host Hoop Camp and Elite Camp from three days a week from June 6 through the beginning of August.

Hoop Camp participants will receive visits from Mavs players and coaches, a goodie bag and a pair of tickets for a preseason game next year.

In addition, the Mavs Basketball Academy will have its first overnight camp will be held June 12-16, and will take place at the University of Texas at Dallas. Those campers will have meals in the UTD cafeteria, boarding in the school’s dorm rooms, and will meet Mavs players and front office staff.
