Mavericks recap: Pachulia’s double-double helps Mavs clip Nets
Why the Mavs won: Zaza Pachulia returned from a three-game absence Friday night and collected his career-high tying 21st double-double while leading the Dallas Mavericks to a 91-79 victory over the Brooklyn Nets at American Airlines Center. Pachulia, who missed the previous three games with a sore left Achilles, finished with 16 points and 12 rebounds.
Key players: Besides Pachulia, Chandler Parsons scored 19 points and grabbed a season-high 10 rebounds in picking up his first double-double of the year for the Mavs. Also, Dirk Nowitzki tallied 12 points, eight rebounds and a season-high four blocked shots, and J. J. Barea added 13 points.
Key stat: The Nets didn’t get their first points from their bench until 47 seconds into the fourth quarter. Mavericks guard Deron Williams shot just 3 of 14 and had eight points in his first game against his former team.
