About the Mavericks: This is the middle of a three-game road trip for Dallas that ends Sunday afternoon in Minnesota. … The Mavs won 100-91 Wednesday in New Orleans for their second win in a row. Starters Dirk Nowitzki, Wesley Matthews, Zaza Pachulia and Deron Williams each played at least 40 minutes in Tuesday’s 117-116 double-overtime victory against Sacramento, which led coach Rick Carlisle to sit out each of them against the Pelicans. … The Mavericks are 9-2 when Nowitzki scores 20 or more points. … Parsons collected season highs in points (21) and rebounds (eight), and also had six assists against the Pelicans.

About the Bucks: Milwaukee is still without coach Jason Kidd, who had hip replacement surgery last month. Kidd attended practice Thursday, but has not been cleared to coach the team in games. Kidd was the starting point guard on the Mavericks’ 2011 NBA title team. … The Bucks lost to the Mavs in Dallas 103-93 on Dec. 28. … The Bucks are 37-31 all-time against the Mavericks, including 24-9 during games played in Milwaukee. … Khris Middleton averages 16.6 points for the Bucks, and Greg Monroe (15.4 points, 9.5 rebounds) is tied for ninth in the NBA with 17 double-doubles.
