Why the Hawks won: Paul Millsap scored seven of his 20 points in the fourth quarter Wednesday night to lead the Atlanta Hawks to a 98-95 victory over the Dallas Mavericks at American Airlines Center. The Hawks finished the game on a 9-2 run over the final 3:06.

Key players: In addition to the 20 points and 11 rebounds from Paul Millsap, the Hawks got 14 point apiece from Al Horford and Jeff Teague, 12 points from Kent Bazemore, and 11 points from Dennis Schroder.

Key stat: The Mavs shot a dismal 36 percent from the field and were just 7-of-31 from 3-point territory.
