Dallas Mavericks hire NBA title-winning executive to run basketball operations

The Dallas Mavericks are hiring decorated NBA executive Masai Ujiri as the team’s president of basketball operations and alternate governor, according to multiple reports.

Ujiri helped guide the Toronto Raptors to the 2019 NBA championship as president of basketball operations. He was previously the general manager.

Ujiri and the Raptors parted ways in 2025 after 12 years.
