Dallas Mavericks game postponed after they can’t fly safely in weather

The Dallas Mavericks’ game against the Milwaukee Bucks on Sunday has been postponed because the Mavericks have been unable to fly out of the Metroplex amid icy weather.

The game “has been postponed due to the Mavericks inability to leave Dallas a result of inclement weather in the area,” the NBA said in a statement.

A makeup date will be announced later, the league said.

Sunday’s Denver Nuggets at Memphis Grizzlies game has also been postponed by the weather.

The Mavericks were set to play the second half of a back-to-back Sunday after they lost 116-110 to the Los Angeles Lakers on Saturday at American Airlines Center. Former Mavericks star Luka Doncic scored 33 points for the Lakers in the win.

The Mavericks are next scheduled to host the Minnesota Timberwolves at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at American Airlines Center.
