This is what Cooper Flagg said moments after he became the No. 1 NBA draft pick

Amazing.

That was the first word to come out of the 2025 NBA Draft’s top pick. It’s official. Cooper Flagg is a Dallas Maverick.

“It’s a dream come true to be honest,” Flagg said on ESPN’s broadcast on Wednesday. “I wouldn’t wanna share with anybody else.”

Flagg stood alongside his mom, Kelly, Dad, and his twin brother Ace Flagg with ESPN’s Monica McNutt. Flagg. He also gave his watch party in Newport Maine a shout out, along with other supporters in the Barclay’s arena.

Flagg’s mom, Kelly praised her son for achieving his goals.

“We’re thrilled that he he got to this moment,” Flagg said. “It’s incredible.”
