Houston Rockets owner rips Dallas Mavericks for Luka Doncic trade
Add Houston Rockets owner and ambassador to Italy, Tilman Fertitta, to the list of those dumbfounded by the Dallas Mavericks’ trade of Luka Doncic.
Fertitta was at a ceremony in honor of the Houston Cougars Men’s basketball 2024 season, which went 35-3 on the season before losing to Florida in the national championship, and explained how he and United States President Donald Trump discussed the trade.
“I was at the White House, in the Oval Office, with the Prime Minister of Italy and the president last Thursday, and we talked about the Houston Cougars. I can promise you for at least a minute and a half,” said Fertitta, “And then we talked about that [expletive] Luka Doncic trade that Dallas did.”
Fertitta is the latest critic of the Mavs and general manager Nico Harrison, who is currently +150 to be fired from his position according to the Action Network.
