Dallas Mavericks star Luka Doncic suffered a calf injury. How long will he be sidelined?

The Dallas Mavericks have announced that Luka Doncic suffered a calf contusion during a workout that would knock the Slovenian superstar out for at least a week.

The Mavs said they would reevaluate Doncic as necessary in a week.

Doncic is looking to follow up a stellar 2023 season where he averaged a near triple-double with 33.9 points, 9.2 rebounds and 9.8 assists per game.

Doncic earned his first NBA’s scoring tile, fifth straight All-NBA first-team selection and placed third in NBA MVP voting, the highest finish of his career.

Vegas expects another great season from Doncic, who according to FanDuel has the top odds to win MVP for the 2024 season.
