Tyler Herro praises PJ Washington’s performance in the Western Confrence playoffs

Dallas Mavericks forward PJ Washington has been instrumental in the team’s run to the NBA Finals due to his elite defense and timely scoring ranking third (13.6) in points per game.

Washington started the season on the Charlotte Hornets before being traded to the Mavs in February for Seth Curry, Grant Williams and a top-two protected first-round draft pick.

Washington and Daniel Gafford were essential to the team’s late-season turn around helping Dallas to become one of the best defenses in the NBA and adding additional scoring threats to relieve pressure off Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving.

As Dallas celebrated their victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves in the Western Conference Finals, Miami Heat star Tyler Herro reminded him of how far he’s come while commenting on his Instagram Live.

“How you go from Charlotte to the Finals, you really made it out the mud with this one,” commented Herro.

Washington laughed while reading the comment exclaiming how you go from Charlotte to the finals with teammates laughing in the background.

The NBA Finals will begin when the Boston Celtics face the Mavs at 7:30 p.m. on June 6 at TD Garden.
