Mark Cuban addresses his future with popular ABC show ‘Shark Tank ’
Mark Cuban announced his plans to leave “Shark Tank,” while talking with Stephen Jackson and Matt Barnes on their popular podcast “All the Smoke.”
“This is our 15th year. Next year, 16th year, is going to be my last year,” Cuban said.
“I love it because it sends the message the American dream is alive and well,” Cuban said. “I feel like in doing Shark Tank all these years, we’ve trained multiple generations of entrepreneurs that if somebody can come from Iowa or Sacramento or wherever, and show up on the carpet of Shark Tank and show their business and get a deal, it’s going to inspire generations of kids..”‘
Cuban joined the show in its second season and played a factor in the show’s massive success. “Shark Tank,” has won a plethora of awards from Emmys, Television Critics Association Awards and Critics’ Choice Television Awards.
“Shark Tank,” featured Cuban and other entrepreneurs hearing pitches from contestants trying to start or improve their businesses and then deciding whether or not to invest. At it’s peak the show had over nine million fans watching.
