Dallas Mavericks’ Luka Doncic pledges to pay for funerals for victims of Belgrade shooting

Luka Doncic felt compelled to offer aid following the shooting tragedy in Belgrade, Serbia. The tragedy involved a 13-year-old attacking the Vladislav Ribnikar primary school and killing eight children and one adult.

The Dallas Mavericks star has familial ties to Serbia despite being Slovenian himself. Doncic’s father and several other family members are native to Serbia.

Doncic spoke up on Twitter saying that he wanted to offer aid as needed through his foundation and that he was heartbroken by the shooting.
