ESPN’s Mike Greenberg believes the Dallas Mavericks should be punished for sitting key players before their 115-112 loss to the Chicago Bulls that eliminated them from playoff contention.

The Mavs are under investigation by the NBA for their decision to sit several players in the game.

Greenberg commended the league for investigating the Mavs on ESPN show “Get Up” and said the team should lose their draft pick for messing with the integrity of the sport. Greenberg said the team should be focused on winning and competing instead of worrying about draft picks.

The Mavericks have an 80% chance of receiving a top 10 pick in the lottery.
