The Dallas Mavericks are reportedly trying to acquire Jimmy Butler in a trade.

The Miami Heat, Los Angeles Clippers and Houston Rockets are also trying to swing a deal with the Minnesota Timberwolves.

The Mavericks would likely have to surrender point guard Dennis Smith Jr. or forward Harrison Barnes in a deal.

But the offer from the Rockets might top those of every other suitor.

According to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, Rockets general manager Daryl Morey has put forth an offer that includes four future first-round picks.

Butler would join all-star’s Chris Paul and James Harden to form a new big three in Houston.

Dallas Mavericks head coach Rick Carlisle took some time out before the team's game against the Chicago Bulls on Oct. 22, 2018 to visit with 7-year-old Gabe Jacobs, a guest of Mavs forward Dwight Powell.
