Fans of the Dallas Mavericks are hopeful that the team can turn things around after a rough 2017 season.
Head coach Rick Carlisle will lead a group that includes veteran Dirk Nowitzki, point guard Dennis Smith Jr., forward Harrison Barnes and rookie Luka Doncic.
At present, oddsmakers don’t believe the Mavericks will make the playoffs.
But Charles Barkley does.
On Monday night during TNT’s ‘Inside the NBA,’ the analyst/host had high praise for the Mavericks. And he even picked owner Mark Cuban’s team to make the postseason in a competitive Western Conference.
